Welcome to Dutchtown Church of the Brethren!
The Milledgeville Church of the Brethren, better known as the “Dutchtown” church is glad you have made your way to our site.
We have been ministering on behalf of Jesus Christ in the Milledgeville and Chadwick Illinois area for almost 150 years now. Folk from all over the Sauk Valley area have come to call Dutchtown their spiritual home. The Dutchtown name comes from the historical accounts that the church building is located where a group of adventurous Pennsylvania Dutch established a settlement many years ago. The locals started referring to the area as Dutchtown. The settlement is gone, but the congregation has lasted the test of time. Those who attend church here are affectionately known as Dutchtowners. We are a part of the Church of the Brethren denomination whose home office is in Elgin, Illinois. Here at Dutchtown, we encourage all to participate and experience worship, from the youngest to the oldest. Each of us feel that this congregation is our extended family and know we can count on each other for love and support in all of our life experiences, good and bad.
We invite you to browse through our web site and if you want to know more about us, you can e-mail Pastor Rick at firstname.lastname@example.org or call him at the church at 815-225-7812.
We would love to have you for worship, which is at 9:30 am each Sunday morning. Following worship, we have Sunday School classes for all age groups at 10:30 am.
May God bless you,
Christ’s followers who meet at Dutchtown.
